Cassy contacted me early this year to find a photographer for her planned proposal to then girlfriend, Kristyn. I, of course, said I'd be delighted to be their photographer. The proposal was planned for St Mary's Glacier in March so the lake would still be frozen over and the mountains covered with snow. St Mary's Glacier is a quick, steep hike up to a breathtaking view that I LOVE hiking. It'd been warm enough that my micro spikes were barely necessary but I was definitely glad I had my Cotopaxi coat and hat by the time I made it to the top.
Our plan was for Cassy to ask me to take a photo of the two of them with her phone and then when I pretended to take the photos, she'd get down on one knee. Brilliant! And it worked like a charm. "I just couldn't wait," Cassy kept saying as Kristyn gaped at the ring box. It. Was. Priceless. Best start to my whole weekend!
